뙤약볕에서도

은은한 얼굴로 다가오는

한 여름 동안 내내 피는 꽃

 

그리 화려하지도

향기는 없어도

순박하고 고귀한 가슴으로

하늘을 우러르며

 

무궁한 사랑으로

순결과 끈기로

오랜 세월

겨레와 함께 살아온 나라꽃

 

의젓한 품위로

한 점 부끄럼 없이

강인한 생명력을 지닌

무궁하도록 피어 있을 꽃

 

무궁화여!

광복의 날에

 

겨레의 가슴에도

더 맑고 밝게 피려무나.

Approaching with a subtle face

Flowers blooming all summer

 

Not so flashy

Even without scent

With a simple and noble heart

Looking up to the sky

 

With endless love

With purity and persistence

Many years

A national flower that lived with the Korean

people

 

With reliable dignity

Without any shame

With strong vitality

A flower that will bloom forever

 

The Rose of Sharon!

On the day of liberation

Even in the hearts of the Korean people

Blossom more clearer and even brighter.
